​Tameka Williams oversees Williams Education Academy's academic programs and daily operations, ensuring high-quality learning experiences and smooth, efficient management to support student success.

 

With over 20 years of experience in public school system, she has served as a literacy coach, reading/ English(ELA) teacher, and a college-level writing coach. Tameka has a Bachelor of Information Technology, a Master of Education, and a Master of Reading. She also has an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S.), with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and Adult Education.​ She is certified and trained to work with ESE, ESOL students and students with diverse learning needs.

As a mother of 3 children, and a passionate educator, Tameka saw firsthand how traditional schools often struggle to meet the unique needs of every child. Large class sizes made it difficult for teachers to provide the personalized instruction her own children, and so many other students needed to truly thrive. This inspired her to create Williams Education Academy, a school designed to offer small class sizes, individualized instruction, and a learning environment that is fun, engaging, and student-centered.

At Williams Education Academy, students benefit from both daytime instruction and afterschool academic support, which helps them to  grow in confidence, build strong skills, and reach their full potential.​ Tameka’s mission is to create a learning environment where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to succeed.
