Commonly Asked Questions 

1. Do you offer discounts or payment plans?

We are a Step-Up Scholarship provider and we offer monthly payment plans. We also offer a need-based tuition discount for eligible families while funds are available. 

2. Does my child have to attend full time?

Our online school is fulltime only, but we offer part-time tutoring through our Learning Center program. 

3. Do I need to register my child for the WEA Learning Center?

No formal registration is needed for tutoring services. Families can simply select a session and book the time that works best for them, based on availability. 

4. Do I have to pay to be a member of WEA Explorers (monthly enrichment activities/workshops/Fun Fridays)?

WEA Online students have access to the WEA Explorers program. Special events, such as field trips, graduations, or ticketed activities, may require a minimal fee. Families who are not enrolled in our online school can  join WEA Explorers through a low monthly membership fee.

5. Are there any other fees besides my registration and tuition?

Yes, we charge an annual non-refundable $300 technology/curriculum fee. Payment options are available. 

6. Does my child have access to their curriculum year-round?

Yes! Your child will have year-round access to their curriculum, so they can review lessons, catch up, or stay sharp even during breaks.

7. What are the hours for your Virtual Campus?

Monday-Thursday 11:00am-3:00pm. We are closed on public holidays and there is limited access to our campus during school breaks (Thanksgiving, Winter, Spring and Summer). Our school follows the Broward County Public Schools Calender. 

8. Are discounts available for families with more than one child enrolled?

We currently offer sibling discounts for up to three children per family. The first child is enrolled at the full tuition rate, the second child and third child recieve a 5% discount. Any additional children beyond the third are enrolled at the regular tuition rate.

9. Who supports my child during the school day?

From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., students have access to certified teachers on our interactive virtual campus. Teachers provide live support, answer questions, lead small-group sessions, and guide students through challenges.

10. What if my child needs extra help outside of class?

Our Learning Center offers individual and small-group tutoring where students can get targeted support, strengthen skills, and stay on track.

11. What is the role of the Learning Coach?

Each student is monitored by a learning coach, who serves as a mentor and accountability partner. Learning coaches check weekly to review progress, set goals, and provide encouragement. This ensures your child stays motivated and responsible for their learning.

12. How do you track progress?

We use the NWEA MAP Growth assessment along with progress reports from the virtual campus. These tools allow us to monitor growth, identify strengths, and address areas needing improvement. Parents are kept informed through regular updates.

13. How is WEA different from homeschooling or an online curriculum company?

With WEA, families receive more than just curriculum. We serve as your child’s official School of Record (full-time enrollment only), providing transcripts, grades, and academic records(includes diplomas).​
